Which ticket system / helpdesk to use?

I need to set up a customer support system for my project. I’m looking for a ticket system or help desk that would fit the following requirements:
  • only one support agents will work with requests

  • instant notifications about new requests

  • should have API

  • on the cloud
I've already tried setting up Redmine, but it seems hard to work with, and it needs constant manual updates (as I've been told).
Does anyone know a similar solution, but more simple and easy?
