Which source and precision for fx rates?

I'm doing business with EU countries and have to put the fx rate on my invoices.
How many decimals are required by HMRC?
Since the rate constantly changes, which source of fx rates shall I use?

Both the HMRC and the EU publish their monthly exchange rates that they advise to use for customs purposes. We use those and update once a month. Let me know if you need links and I'll dig them out.

Thanks, actually I'm using the api.frankfurther.app and api.exchangeratesapi.io to fetch them via an Excel Macro. If you have the HMRC/EU ones via an API, it would be great!

HMRC have an XML API endpoint for Customs Exchange Rates here. You may need to register, not sure whether the exchange rate endpoint is open access or not. https://developer.service.hmrc.gov.uk/api-documentation/docs/api/xml/Exchange rates from HMRC

EU Customs Exchange Rates can be obtained using simple HTTP GET's. There is a "webservices" link on this page which shows you how to request the rates for the currencies and dates you want. https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-t...-and-beneficiaries/exchange-rate-inforeuro_en
