Which phone do you have - and would you recommend it?

I agree with Timoh. I use to use windows and than tried macbook, no viruses, no plenty of ads on websites, I could do a list with bonuses.

I had nokia and than swap to iphones, I am not Apple geek so I tried windows ( actually android - any difference?) tablet and phone (nokia lumia) and I sold straigh away after one day of usage. Not intuitive panel AT ALL, even my partner had trouble to set certain settings. What for is two browsing windows?? Overall I rather use clean and minimal apple than over complicated and not that safe windows based products.

Always had an iPhone, and still do. Currently owner of an iPhone 6+. I flirted with Windows Phone in the past, but went with the one I'm so familiar with. Will never go with Android.

I have Microsoft Lumia 535 & i would suggest you never to buy it.
Have problems regarding screen touch.
As it's a window phone so it doesn't have much of the interesting applications

I have iPhone 6 Plus and it is great.

You can have a look at just released iPhone 6s/6s Plus. The y have new powerful processor, 4K video, 3D touch (tactile touch), etc.

I have a Samsung S4. Would I recommend it? No. Only because the phone is dated now and doesn't work as great as it used to. It can just about handle the Lollipop OS. There are better Samsung models now. Maybe I should get my upgrade.....

I moved from the Apple ecosystem to a Galaxy Note 4. I've found it to be a usable phone, but frustrating at times due to the awful software bloat. I'm also very envious of the iPhone camera, which seems to get better with every iteration.

Can anyone recommend an Android phone with a really, really good camera?

Galaxy Note II. I would recommend it for performance, and quality od the display. But the plastics are... weak and terrible.

I've read an article somewhere regarding metal vs plastic casing. Even though metal gives phones much nicer look and feel, it does not absorb shock when the phone is dropped which means the chances to break glass screen or other part of the device is much higher when metal phone is dropped. Plastic is an opposite - is looks cheap but plastic does a very good job absorbing shocks and protecting the phone when it is dropped.

My Samsung Galaxy S3 used to be ok but has become really laggy over the last six months or so, possibly because it's crammed full of photos, emails and other stuff, bogging it down.

I've just upgraded (downgraded, some say) to a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, as I wanted something small enough to fit in my shirt and jacket pockets, but I've not even used it yet as I need time to migrate the data, etc! Will report back once I've started using the Z3C.

iPhone 6s has a 4K video, The best thing on apple phone is don't get slow like android if apps running on the background simultaneously, safe and secure backup. find me location if you lost your phone and secure your emails with third party email certificates.

This week news came out that apple and android between them have 96.3% of the smartphone market - strikes me as a crazy high figure although I'm not all that surprised.

Well "Android" is an Operating System rather than a company and most phone companies use it because developing a mobile Phone OS is a massive, expensive undertaking so it's not that surprising.

I stand by Sony, I have recently upgraded from the Z1 to the Z3+ 21mega pixel camera gives sharper colour images but not taken advantage of the 4k Video streaming as in my opinion the screen wouldn't do it any justice.

Mind you it has other excellent features and its been dropped a few times and no screen damage whatsoever.

Have a Xiaomi Redmi 2 from China, it's the best smartphone for 100$ ! Now I want to upgrade to stock android exprerience, so my next will be Google Nexus 6.

I am using Windows Phone. At this point Lumia 820 (also tried Lumia 525 and 430). Everything work fine. The only problem I had previously there were not many apps on the market. But this Summer their market suddenly got filled with good quality apps and developing further.
Huge advantage of this phone is the it is very fast. Windows 8.1 is requiring less resources than Android, so on 1GB RAM is super fast. Camera is great, nice pics and 1080p video.
Mailbox can be easily configured with an exchange.
Build in Microsoft Office that appeared supprisingly comfortable for me.

Few days ago I bought Motorola Google Nexus 6. It's very big (6'' screen) but pleasant to use. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is a beast! Highly recommend

Android phones are quite cheap and usually works fine. On the other hand iPhone is the perfect choice if you are working with Apple computers because sync options between devices.

I have Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. I was glad with it during the last two years but recently it started to wear off. With a lot of files and applications on it it's quite normal. Actually, I think that nowadays 24 month is the longest you could use your phone (middle class). So, if you want something like this - Samsung is your phone.
