Which name to use ? DoingJobs.com or WonderBees.com

Hello,

I need a little advice being a Scandinavian planning to open an international website.

The site is planed to advertice sparetime jobs an small jobs between individuals.

Regarding the naming.
In short term I believe that DoingJobs is better as I need less advertising since it tells directly what is about but in long term it will be just one of the ...jobs websites.

WonderBees.com is harder to advertise and need to explain what is about but when become a known brand you will have the avantage of the uniqness in relation with other jobs websites.

All comments from UK language natives are very wellcome

I like WONDERBEES. doingjobs is straightforward but limited. Wonderbees is more attractive I think.

I also like wonderbees. It seems to have more scope long term and although it may need pushing harder in order to get it to market it is likely to prove fruitful once the name becomes more well known. Have you decided which to go for?

Don't know about Doingjobs, GettingJobsDone yes.

Same for Wonderbees, wouldn't WorkerBees be better

Of your two I would go for DoingJobs it fits better and is more brandable as you can still use the Bees to promote it.

in my opinion,wonderbees is better. your clients should be those who consider themselves could work as busy as the bees do.and about how to explain the name,a logo or a short flash will be enough.

I like wonderbees. This name is unique. But yeah you have to work hard to advertise this name. But this name will be good for your website.

I think WonderBees is cool, it is more open and has a room to represent multiple commercial activities unlike Doingjobs being very much specific, advertisements can be attracted from better marketing tactics so its name even initially has less to contribute.

I am interested to see how this works out. The thing you must remember about your Heading is that this will decide if the reader bothers to read any further - that's how important it is.
The question the reader is asking themself will be - is this any use to me?
The bees heading gives the impression your business has something to do with bees so a reader will decide if they need bees or not - however that's not actually what you are offering.
So out of the two choices I would choose the other - or I would keep thinking about new headings that leave no doubt about the work you do.

May be if you play around with the words, you can somehow add jobs or some related word with wonderbees...the other option is to have a tagline that suggests what the site is about?

No matter what name you use it is liable to create confusion which creates indecision. Forget DoingJobs, and Busy Bee beats Wonderbees. Why not look at variations of: JobMate, Kitchenmaid, JobMaster, JobWorld, RetiredCraftsmen, Home&Handyman, JobTeam, TeamMasters, SwedishLady, SkandaHire, School&Home, Home&Kitchen, Home&Garden, Porch&Patio, PenthouseHire, StudentWorld, these samples are from just a few minutes of thought, so play about with the list. DoingJobs sounds more robust and more concrete. WonderBees - is a good name for a kindergarten, so I suggest you use DoingJobs.

Another vote for WonderBees as it sticks in the mind and will be good for branding when you grow. Although I agree with the poster who suggested WorkerBees would make more sense, especially if there is a baby care company using WonderBees.

You could have 'doing jobs' as it's tagline.

I hope you registered that domain because the chances are someone may have gone and beat you to it when you mentioned it. Happened to me before when I was tossing names about, and it sucks.

I guess it depends on whether you wish "Brand Yourself" over time, and do not mind really getting stuck in with your SEO for the site and over the long term and are willing to wait a little longer to get good SEO page results. Then I would use wonderbees.

In terms of SEO, having the main keyword in your URL does help with getting ranked quicker.

If your website has a section for a tagline and you you Wonderbees, you could put in there in a one liner, what you do.

Have you thought of another name for what you do?

Thank you for all your fine comments and I am very sorry that I did not attend and coment here earlier. I did not have the notification mail and therefore did not know about all your comments.

In the mean time the site is now in final Development and I am pretty sure that I will use the name WonderBees.com event though I might have some alternatives. Should anybody have any comments to the list of alternative names I would be glad to hear about it.

Here are the names:

Will this be legal to do .... and will it be to much "WannaBee" using the "pipl" word invented by others. ?

- Oopio.com
Will this work in English language ? Will it be possible to remember ?

- Peplz.com
Will this work in English and will it work with the "z" in the end or is this to much teenage like to make the name with use of "Z" as often seen replacing "s" ?

- Mamashammer.com is also an option…

Some of you also mentioned the need for a slogan to support the site and I would be very glad to hear comment to what I consider or maybe even suggestions

None of the above...

Wonderbees is the best of a bad bunch IMHO.

Without knowing specific details alas I am not in a position to offer you an alternative.
