Which Cart

I'm currently trying to find a cart with wysiwyg editing, amazon, play.com and google shopping product feeds (either out of the box or through add ons) and an easy learning curve.

I've tried Magento and although I believe it is the best solution available, its major drawback is the time it would take to teach other staff to use it. It's not the easiest system to learn.

In an ideal world it would also have a good cross sell/up sell system too, so is there anything out there that fits the bill?

Your next best bet would probably be OpenCart (www.opencart.com). Its OS and has plenty of add-ons and the admin is really nice to use compared to magento. If the functionality in not available you can always add it pretty easily.

The only out the box I would say that will fit your needs is bigcommerce (not free though). Easiest to use and you can use their Help Videos to train your staff without you having too which is a bonus.

We use our own custom build which our customers use - podcreate.com

It depends what budget you have but I would use onefeed.co.uk for all your datafeeds, Amazon feeds are the biggest nightmare but many companies have a solution to feed to play.com and Amazon for you.

I would use bigcommerce which has googlebase then use a thirdparty for play.com and Amazon. Cross sells and upsells are all built into this cart which is great for someone with a limited budget for coding which can get expensive when you want custom options.

Try to look for something with a dynamic help system, that gives your employees hints when they are working with the system. In that way, after some time they should be able to use it successfully without special training.

It shouldn't be a problem to find a software that can provide it.

As an alternative to Magento I would recommend OpenCart. In terms of features and performance it's pretty good solution, however, you can also consider Oscommerce and Zen Cart as well.

Zencart would be the ideal solution out of the box.
Very easy to use and work with.

I'd Recommend Open Cart. I have used Magento and Open Cart.

Open cart in outstanding in my opinion Easy to work.

To be perfectly honest, I would select my cart based on what will be easier for my customers, what will give them the best experience and what will convert more visitors to customers. I would train my staff to use Magento if it delivered on the customer end.
