Hi,

I have a small, annual profit: £12k, UK business web hosting company for sale. It is a business web host, with government and University clients/domains, this offers a great sales opportunity for the right business to up-sell their own products and services.

Can anyone recommend the best place to sell it?

Thanks

thank for the recommendations. Already tried WHT - unable to post on there until you have at least 10 posts, which makes posting anonymously not practical.

Now having a look at: uk.businessesforsale.com, maybe ok.

Anyone else used them? Had any success selling on there?

Hi thank you for your suggestion - Just had a look, seems promising at first but appears to lack UK businesses, and its a little like ebay with the cheap scripts for sale and bidding to buy.

Have you sold anything on there?

ps. I misread your url as: "car bid" "emedia", you could write it using capitals to help others recognise it as it should be: CarbideMedia

It's been some time for me personally, as it seems a lifetime ago when I was doing the internet property ladder. As a buyer, there's a lot of ripoffs with bogs stats, so when a legit one comes along, people drool and the bids go wild (or at least used to)

There seems to be very few "drools" on there now. The higher bids appear to be just for domain name sales.

Hi, I've just done some analysis on where I'm getting most online enquiries from. Of the last 100 new buyer enquiries I've had:
35 from businessesforsale.com
17 from daltonsbusiness.com
18 from rightbiz.co.uk
2 from businesses4sale.co.uk
7 from businesssalesonline.com
21 from other sources

I do sell online / web businesses but don't use sites like Flippa so cannot comment on their effectiveness.

Interestingly I didn't think Daltons was that effective and use it sparingly. Based on the above analysis I'll use it more from now on.

I hope that helps.

Many thanks for the recommendations and stats - very handy especially when you consider prices to add a business for sale advert:

rightbiz - £39.95 until sold, with 30 days trial, however for this I can not find any REAL reviews for this site!

daltonsbusiness - £139+vat for a month

businessesforsale - £169+vat for a month

Quality of those enquiries is important, I assume that latter wins out.
