Hello All

I would be interested in seeing if you have found a best time to post on your Fan Page.

I find that my mid-week post will tend to get more response and perform better. I also find that morning posts certainly perform 100% better than posts in the afternoon and evening.

Is this the same for other businesses using Facebook Fan Pages?

Regards

Jo

I agree with the above, it really depends on who your targeting with these posts, a lot of niches are different, for instance Nightclibs , usually thu fri sat thet go out during the day !

But if in general business terms i always find that posts in the morning usually generate the most traffic as a lot of people are likly to have a little nosey at there facebook in the morning to check any messages etc !

i agree with Nitro -- you cannot just say mid week.
In my opinion its 5am- 7am- 12-6-10pm
every weekday and then all sunday and saturday

you seem to be missing point of social media Jo
The fanpages are important (something that i assumed until observing emma QVA), but more importantly (what emma again pointed out ) you can put a link up infront of people about your page and about your website.
Now when would be the best time?

Common sense tell you to hit peak times. mornings, break time, dinner, tea and after coronation street . lol

With facebook being totally mobile wouldn't timing become less important? just from my own experiences I have a lot of web design related fan pages that feed updates through to my news feed and I'd say about 3/4 of the links I follow from their feeds have been while I've accessed facebook via mobile and that could literally be at any time of the day.

I find generally for "most" businesses the best times are between 8-10am 12 - 2pm, around 4pm and then from roughly 6.30pm in the evening onwards.

If you are spending enough time on your fan page, using your insights and looking at your analytics PLUS looking at responses, likes and sharing you will know when is the best time for YOU.

I personally find that Monday and Friday posts generally get a better response.

It also of course depends how often you are updating your fan page.

The other thing is you will be updating your fan page but unless you have changed your settings or Facebook has decided you want to see posts from certain groups and pages in your newsfeed you won't always see them.

In fact one client I took on recently took nearly 2 weeks for their posts to show in my newsfeed even though I told Facebook I wanted to see them...

Fine tuning your strategy takes time.

Be patient and persevere, it is normal to feel like you are talking to yourself sometimes! ;)

Hey guys

The best responses to my posts are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

I am targeting small business / online marketing sectors and had assumed before I started that most of the traffic would be evenings and weekends, not during business hours when people should be working!!!!

I'll keep monitoring over the next few months and see if it changes.

Regards

Jo
