What's the most efficient offline marketing of websites?

Hello,

I should start by saying that I'm not from UK, so I know very little about offline media. Recently I built a website with games similar to those in Countdown TV show, which I believe is very popular in UK, so I'd like to promote it to UK audience. <URL removed by Moderator>

I'm doing my best to promote it online, but I somehow feel that offline promotion would work much better because there aren't many websites that promote using offline media.

I'm considering radio, maybe some local TV (do you have local TV statitions in UK?), painting on buses, etc.

Are there some websites promoting in UK using offline media? Which form of marketing did you found most effective, that is, what made you try to type the website name when you get home?

Internet Market is nothing but the promotion of product and services of the company through internet. Marketing through internet has many benefits: lesser marketing costs and wide exposure are the basic advantage of internet marketing.
There are many ways through which a company can promote its product and services in the internet- For instance through- various websites, emails, forums, blogs and articles. Internet marketing is a very effective tool for advertising and promotion due to audio-visual features.

Milan, there are plenty of ways to promote a games site offline. You need to probably use a marketing company based in the UK with its feeders already in the system. I wouldn't think buses would be much good, radio might but I suspect TV might work for you.

You might also consider articles and marketing launches in magazines that are popular and that contain quizzes and stuff similar to what is promoted on your website.

Thanks. Can you recommend some marketing companies?

Any idea where to start? Are there some places where I can find rankings for such magazines, like number of readers, etc. to know which ones to pick?

Hi Milan
I'd love to hear more about what it is you're trying to promote (URL was removed) so perhaps you'd like to e-mail me ([email protected]) and we can discuss it further?
There's definitely lots of ways to promote it offline but this depends a lot on the type of budget you have, but you should definitely consider a mix of both online and offline!
Let's chat more about it!
Thanks
Liz

As Liz has said above, I would go with a combination of offline and online promotion and don't simply rely on offline marketing.

It's worthwhile keeping in mind that a website URL can often be better remembered as a visual image rather than a sound clip and so radio advertising doesn't often work (or at least it hasn't in the instances I've been involved in / heard of). That is, unless your URL relates directly to the company brand and when that company brand is searched for in Google, your website appears in position #1.
