Whats the best way to accept payments by phone?

Just wondered whats the best way to accept payments by phone and how long does the money take to clear into your account?

You will need a merchant account and a card machine or one of the accounting packages (Quickbooks) that allow some form of manual online processing of payments.

or you can put it through your website payment processor

Although that may be against certain T&C's of the gateway's.

I use the worldpay addon so I can take payments over the phone. expensive compared the number of times I've used it but hopefully that'll change!
