The link above is broken, so I am unable to answer your question.

However, be very careful of any advice that says system 'x' is definitely the best. Because you will find different 'experts' who will put a different name in where the 'x' goes, proving that it is more complicated than that.

The answer to the question will require on exactly what your requirements are, and your intended investment level. Most shopping cart packages will deliver most functionalities very well, but there are differencies between them. Some of them are more suited to an inexperienced person setting them up, for example, if that is your intention. Some run on different technologies, which have benefits, and disadvantages.

Unfortunately as Paul says, their account has been suspended so the website isn't up. I did take a look at a cached version of their homepage but I couldn't identify any telling characteristics from the source code, it may well be that their index is just a custom made page and child links lead to the store.

The site is up now - I'm seeing it no problem. I believe this to be custom built ... there are no theme directories linked to for style sheets etc., and the URL structure is pretty basic - a lot of ecommerce packages would make 'search engine friendly url's' whereas these are distinctly unfriendly URL's - so, I'd be 99% sure it's a bespoke solution.

Cheers will the customer be able to upload their own photo's ?

Ah right, I didn't quite understand what you meant when you said that the first time round. I can't think of anything off the shelf that would allow you to achieve that (someone else might know one). It might be that you would have to either have a bespoke platform developed or register a white labelled account with one of the many custom merchandise companies out there.

Hopefully someone with more specific experience of this can assist.

Whatever the store it's actually very basic in it's function and layout abilities. That alone could suggest it is custom built.

But really, it's hard to think of any e-commerce platform that couldn't replicate that site - so I would have to conclude it doesn't matter!

As said, Magento will bend to do literally anything you can think up but it's very heavy and can be quite stressful. Trust me I know! Not that any other package would do all I need it to do though.

Cube-cart is good for those that want plenty of flexibility but not too many headaches setting it all up.

Anybody notice the 3D preview of the image on canvas that store is generating in the canvas art prints section? It looks like they've gone to some trouble to do this, but the funny thing is, the 3D view is incorrect. The overlap images on the sides are wrong, giving a mirror image of the main face rather than what would really be on the edges.

My advice in this respect, is don't bother doing something fancy like that unless you're actually going to get it right. In this particular case, less is more.

There is an image upload feature on that site, but that is as far as the interactivity goes. In that respect, it is just a fancy form supporting images, which is filled in for then someone to manually get back to the customer.

Quite. Although I guess they have done it neatly enough to look attractive - I'm just not sure the investment in time will pay off!

I think the OP has been impressed with their design effort on the site and mistaken that for a fancy CMS. All seems very basic to me!?
