What is your worst nightmare as an HR professional (that maybe you have even witnessed)?

I'm not an HR professional but recall a situation where the HR manager at a branch of a well known supermarket chain was faced with a difficult situation that she was unable to handle for laughing so much. Even the manager and area manager couldn't deal with the problem and keep a straight face.

I'll apologise in advance for lowering the tone of the forum o_O

Twas back in the 70's, a brassy young lass, lovely girl who called a spade a spade, was trying to retrieve the lost property box from underneath one of the tills. With one knee on the packing area, the other leg trailing in mid air she, bent over leaving little to the imagination as her mini skirt rode up around her back, her knickers on full view. A passing customer made a joke saying 'I hope they're clean..............at which point 'Harry' who was mopping the floor at the time said 'the customer is always right' and proceeded to put the mop to 'better use'. Screams could be heard throughout the store!

Had the girl complained - she thought it was hilarious - lord knows what would have happened but Harry was hauled in to explain his actions and got off the hook because the hastily convened disciplinary panel couldn't stop crying with laughter.

I wonder what would happen now - a prison sentence and £100k damages perhaps?
