What is the difference between unique hits and raw hits?

In my affiliate referral page stats, one result shows 1 unique hit and 153 raw hits - does that mean one person visited 153 pages of that other site?? Thanks

This would generally refer to one person visited your site but requested a file from the server 153 times. So they didn't necessarily view 153 different pages, instead each time a file is requested, this counts as a raw hit. This could be images, stylesheets, files, javascript files etc.

Depending on how your website has been built, just one visit to your homepage may equate to 75 raw hits for example.

Yes, sort of ... it was a weird blip yesterday I noticed a massive increase (for various links) in raw hits. I hope it's not someone messing around?

If you refer to the leag.me website in your signature then just displaying your homepage results in 92 requests so there is no cause for concern over 1 visit with 153 raw hits.

A hit can be a server request for a page or files on your server ie not humans. Think sessions.
