Online shopping website platform. Its where you would build and host your own online shop / e-commerce site - not exactly an affiliate program

Why would I not just list the site on say, google, or advertise.

You question makes no sense. Shopify is an online store. If you already have an online shoe shop you don’t need shopify. If you don’t the shopify could be your online shoe shop.

Yes, but you need a working shopify site first. To run an affiliate program you need a whole lot of ducks lined up in a row and you need to be very good at marketing and there will be thousands of others all doing the same as you.

Aside from my SEO consultancy I run my own shopify sites and affiliate sites, and to qualify to become a shopify affiliate I had to prove all sorts of things, including that I run and have a good understanding of how shopify works.

It’s not as easy as to simply apply and be automatically accepted.
