I can't believe the amount of pure drivel in the last two posts.
A personal opinion - no comment
Talk about giving a bad name to networkmarketing!! A good business does not need all this smoke and mirror treatment. It's insulting to intelligent business people. You will do much better if you show your prospects more respect.
I do not talk about giving NM a bad name, there are too many people trying that already.
What we need to talk about is the excellent business sense in NM.
The best ways to promote collective team work helping the individual and team
Network marketing has a tough time in the UK.
Sure does with all the drivel talked about. Few people really understand the essence of NM and they prattle on about how it is Pyramid marketing. That just highlights the lack of understanding of a) what Pyramid Marketing is and b) what NM is. They are poles apart
One label for all is the sort of profound drivel that continues this ignorance
A good education on true NM is what is sorely needed.
I will in the next few months be holding some round the UK talks on this very subject with the likes of Branson and others to encourage this very sound business model.
It is well time that the cobwebs, conmen and cowboys were run out of town and the proper modality given its rightful press. The UK needs to wake up to the New Economy
1) We can buy everything we need in the shops and therefore don't need to buy it from distributors or through party plan
Not true but believe that if you will. For one our product ranges are not available that way and are unique and the only ones of their kind.
Sold through outlets such as health clubs, salons, health centres, small personal outlets, internet and distributors they have a large exposure.
2) Bugging your friends is seen as thoroughly nasty
You bet it is and the quickest way to lose them.
No need to bug or bother. The soft sell is the best sell but until someone shows you how you end up desperately screaming in your friends and family's ear.
With someone who can guide you in the best practice and the proper way and approach, the bugging dies a death
3) No-one likes hard sell
They sure don't. That is why one should never resort to it
... and don't give me all that "don't need to bug your friends" stuff when what you're doing instead is bugging other network marketers or forum members. Been there, done that. I've run very big network marketing teams and a big information site and forums.
Well then you should understand that sharing with others is a growth experience and learning
Why did I give it all up?
So here is the rub
1) Two companies folded on me (any company is only as good as its last cheque)
I send my condolences for the companies fiscal ineptitude. Many fail in their first few years for this and many other reasons. That is
why a whizz bang new off the press company is one to steer miles clear of.
Once a company has proved itself with at least 5 years under its belt it is worth scrutiny but even then due diligence must be finely observed
2) I got fed up with doing the work for the downline
Ah, the shortcomings of a decent comp plan. You see I positively encourage and engage myself in supporting and helping my downline that they become even more successful than I. Because they win, I win and everyone upline wins.
Now if you have a persistent refusal to do the work and take action then it is just a case of letting them do it their way, since they feel they know best.
Not a lot of companies adhere to this golden success rule. Often because the comp plan fails to reward this behavior. Bad deal for all
3) I got sick of being despised by everyone.Network marketing has zero kudos in business and even the "I make $60k a year" brigade are only respected by their peers.
Why pray did "everyone" despise you? If I meet anyone who is closed to the idea of residual income and the best pay plan to financial freedom that any good NM offers I just move on.
Never take it personally. That is the trick. It is not you, it is they who are stuck in the old school mentality and JOB ethic or have taken in the misinformation on NM
I have found in my experience that people are intrigued as to how those that manage 5,6 or 7 figure incomes have been able to get there.
You do not have to trumpet your income hoping to get business. However if someone who is starting out wishes to know how another has made the grade it is incumbent on that person to share how it can be done and offer the template
Thus a success template is just that in its resultant goal - successful
I made money but what a depressing way to do it. I look back on it as a colossal waste of time.
Well you made the right decision - there is absolutely no point in being miserable making loads of money.
For myself if one is selling anything it is..... a journey together of health wealth and happiness and fun.
If life cannot be fun then one needs to get a life.....
I have huge fun developing my life and financial freedom
.... of course those with mentors will now label me as "afraid of success", "too negative" and other patronising garbage.
What is the point of patronizing you.... I feel for you and am convinced that your experiences will find you on the path of your true vocation and happiness because of these experiences, not in spite of them.
All I would say is
do not waste time on what others may or may not think do or say. What is most important is what
YOU do, say and accomplish.
You are the only one that knows where you want to be...and I wish you God speed and a fair wind
