    @IanSuth had some math here from his youngster;

    Thanks Ozzy. I'm thinking about minimum wage here - I suspect the only viable way to do 1000 at £15 (about 7 hours work) is to put them all in a big bin somewhere.

    It all depends on where you hand out.

    Couple weeks ago I did some flyering as a favour for a mate - i did 462 houses in under 3 hours, 160 of those in 50mins but that was a new build estate of townhouses and small blocks of apartments with external mailboxes [a bank of 12 letter boxes is very quick to do]

    mate and her daughter have been flyering for the event all week and I can see their numbers - on a long road of 1930's semi's with big front gardens it was down at just over 100 per hour

    Not necessairly I had a client who wanted 6000 leaflets and I was charging £20 / 1000 then. The client will end up paying £200 am being fairer to the client they will only pay £90 here
    Never charge more than £20 / 1000 or it could be a scam
    Even my daughter wouldnt have got out of bed for £20/1000, that is min 5 hours work or £4 an hour and more like 6 or 7 if you arent doing a densely populated short drives area (which is getting closer to £3ph which i earnt as a 17 year old in 1988 !!)

    Let’s estimate 30 seconds for a single drop. 1000 leaflets is 500 minutes or 8 hours work. £20 is below minimum wage.
