What does every business need?

What would you say every business had to have?

Does a business need a marketing plan? Does a business need a business plan?

Do you need a business card?

What would you say is a must have for your business?

I think when i started JRL Training i spent soooo much time on my business plan and never refered to it ever again.

What i should have been concentrating on was my Marketting plan as thats what brings in all the other things that have been mentioned.

Every business needs good forum advice and good forum members...

1.A marketplace
2.A marketplace that produces good cash flow
3.A marketplace that is profitable
4.A marketplace that you understand
5 A marketplace that you can operate in at low cost
6.A marketplace that has several routes to market
7.A marketplace that can survive in a good and bad economy
8.A marketplace that customers get value from on several levels

Once you have that you need a marketing plan that will maximise you in the marketplace.

Then you need to ensure your business model has systems at every level, otherwise your life will be tens times more difficult that it has to be.

With regards to a business card on the list of over 1000 things you will need to address it is near the bottom;)

firstly the most important of a business of course the capital. if you have not enough money for the capital then you could not be able to build a business that is the one important of it. and it should be planned already before you start up with some kind of business.

All bases covered: sales, marketing, financial management and forecasting, and the technical skill to deliver the service or product to market.

It might all be there in one person, but it most often isn't, so the business owner needs to be very honest about their own strengths and weaknesses, and fill the gaps!

A system that encompasses all the aspect of the running of the business. It is the system that has been taken great care to design and implement, that will make or break the company.

A weak system, is due to weak leadership and vision. Which leads to confusion, low moral, heavy burden on staff and the business owner, and unhappy clients.

It is the system that keeps the business together. Having clients, marketing are obvious but from day one, a system must be in place or no marketing strategy or big numbers of client is going to save the company.

Well as Benjamin Franklin once said:

"An Investment in Knowledge Always Pays the Best Interest"

Every business needs to know what market they're going into, who their competitors are, how they can be better, whether there is a need for their idea.... If you don't have this there's no point in raising capital, organising staff, doing your marketing plan or anything else.
