Hi

I registered a company called "CyberGleaner" a year ago (for IT/Web Software Development) and now finally starts to run it as a business - since business becomes more and more important as the business grows, - and English is not my first spoken language - I hope any of you could give me some suggestions on it.

Thank you very much!!

The only reason I clicked on this thread was to find out what on earth a CyberGleaner was. A company that cleans up hard drives? An Internet stalking service?

Cyber as a term is a little dated, as mentioned before, but it also suggests something a little... Dodgy. Either in a rude or illegal way (possibly both).

I'm not a huge fan, sorry.

How can someone see the word 'gleaner' and read 'cleaner' ?

I do agree. though, that 'Cyber' is a bit dated.

When I saw 'Gleaner' it put me in mind of harvesting software, the stuff that raoms the internet gathering email addresses and personal data from the unsuspecting.

I think you need to think it out again.

Cyber - A prefix used to describe some element of the high-tech or information age. Examples include cyberspace, cybersex, and cybercitizen.

Gleaning - someone who picks up grain left in the field by the harvesters

OK, I might have picked two of the most incompatible definitions I could find....but it makes my point.
