What can I do to attract more customer?

I Love Spreadsheets

Is it a specific type of jewellery? Do you make it yourself? If so how about some demo's of it being made.

Visited the Jewelley quarter in Birmingham and watched some jewellery being made - really fascinating stuff.

Try flyering your local shopping / town centre, including car parks, and even nearby houses. We have friends and family that could do with an extra few pounds a week, and we know are trustworthy enough to do the job. There are distribution companies that offer leaflet dropping, but your normally being posted with a bunch of other stuff or in a local paper, and mostly ignored that way. If you use your own randomly timed distribution, the chances of being the only leaflet on someones floor / car / hand, will be the only one they see at that time, and they may actually read it.

Also try banners, on your building, neighbours ( with their permission ) and on nearby street railings ( till the council ask you to remove them anyway )

Clever flyer dropping can get you 2-5% extra business. It doesn't sound like much, but its a good figure.

Special offers and freebies always go down well.

Some ideas:

1) Local paper advertising
2) Local transport advertising (buses etc)
3) An event (learn about jewellery, making and cleaning), advertised by #1 and #2
4) Hold a competition - come in and drop a card off for a chance to win a {whatever}
5) Bonus on sales - buy a {whatever} from us, and we will clean your rings whilst you are in the store
6) Partner up - put some space aside for a local jewellery maker and run a promotion on their stuff - they will help advertise your shop

Of course, all of these are gimmicks - they work for a short while. If you are looking for something longer term, you need something which is unique to you which makes people come to you as the 'go to' shop such as....

a) Sizing of rings on premises
b) Custom jewellery - the customer sketches it, you price it and get it made in china and chipped to you
c) You are the only place to go in your area for Platinum/tanzanitte/whatever

All depends on what your competition is, whats around you, and what you can use.

But (hint), dont make price your unique and sales message. It will not work. Someone will always be cheaper.

You could always try using one of those offer websites which means you need to give a big discount, but on the plus side you do get a lot of potential customers to notice your shop. Although you end up selling some stock for less than you would have, there's always the chance that people like what they see and come back for more, or recommend your shop to their friends, word of mouth is priceless.

There's quite a few websites that offer this kind of thing, they usually have a big customer base so it gets you noticed. If you haven't come across them before I can let you have the names. One advertise on tv now as well before anyone thinks I'm spamming or trying to recommend a particular company! Just an idea to get some people traffic anyway, hope it helps

  • get into related events - wedding shows - fashion shows
  • get some press releases - magazine inserts use your knowledge of jewellery to tell a story that intrigues interest in your store
  • Get a website and have it search engine optimised for local searches
  • get listed on sites like gumtree, craiglist, ebay, related directories, blogs.
  • think long and hard about all the business that could easily refer you for example wedding dress shops, fashions stores.

    need any help pm me

have you consider the number of people that walk through your street. If not a lot of people then your problem could be location. If you do not have a problem with passing by trade, then you should think to employ the services of a professional to revamp your shop

I am a jewellery retailer, What can I do to attract more customer to visit my shop?

Hi,
Jewelery is a product to whom there is no need to be introduce. Bu if you want to ask about your shop or company that how to market it than I would recommend you t.V channels and mobile advertising. Mobile messages is the cheapest way to introduce and market your product in a smart way. I think you got my idea.

I think online sales better for me becasue I've few advertising budget to promote my products. I've more styles of jewellery product (over 1000 styles). I have no B to C website to sell my products. I wonder which website I can approach to upload my product list.
