The only one you have to have by law is Employer's liability insurance.

However you should take out a standard shop insurance policy which will include this as well as business interruption, book debts, contents, stock, plate glass, money in transit & in safe, goods in transit and Public Liability etc.

AXA seems to be one of the main providers of this type of policy.

The last poster was indeed correct, Employers liability will be the only insurance required by law, i do advise a shop policy though, with the trade that you are in i wouldnt imagine this to be a high premium as it will be low risk.

The package will be usually tailored to what you require / can afford.

If you would like to have a chat to advise you on the levels of cover & give you a premium drop me a pm.

More than happy to help.

Employers liability is the only possible legally required insurance but it is only required if you have employee's and it is not being run as a sole trader/ partnership only employing close family members or a Ltd only employing share holding directors.

It is highly recommended however that you consider other classes of insurance that are not legally required but simply common sense such as public liability (some suppliers etc may insist on this).

As others have mentioned many insurers and brokers offer bundled products aimed at specific sectors (retail, cafe, tradesman etc) which gives you an all in one product and is generally a lot cheaper than trying to buy the different elements separately.
