Your site is incredibly hard to start using. Only two words to the top right are a link. How about showing products on your homepage?

I would say facebook, myspace, bebo and teen forums would be an ideal place to start. I've heard people say good things about facebook.

You need to read up all you can on SEO Search Engine Optimisation which would move you up the search engines

Basically your site is very poor in just about all area's, sorry no easy way to put it nicely

Your home page needs clear hard coded links and images directing people to the different shoes

You need information about your company to impress potential buyers that you are an established site and not going to do a scarper

You need to be able to get your customers to add to cart in a max of about three clicks

You never ask people to register with a shop, every delay means they may move on, so go direct to checkout and get info and money

Descriptions are all the customer has to go on so should be full of information with clear images

I am now running a online shoe store: www.schulace.com

I am stuck on advertising, and have no clue on how I could get around this
my target audience is ages from 15 - 25. Any help would be great!

    Thanks in advance

After taking the advice about site layout, seo etc - advertising a site online is a case of building links to aid 'organic' search and natural traffic, do social networking and budget permitting google adwords and affiliate marketing.

There are a million articles and ebooks out there - search this forum for a good starting point.

I agree, just try to get SERP on google using the above procedures.

I think you should definately have some pics of products on the home page to demonstrate exactly what your selling.

With Regards to advertising, I noticed you have a newsletter sign up, have you considered emailing current customers, or getting an opt in list to do some email marketing.

Also see if you can find some forums that your target market use and see if you can set up some affiliate marketing by offering comission for advertising space.

    Hope this helps,

    happy Christmas

Just to back-up what folks have already said above - definitely attack SEO elements (aiming for good natural SERPS - search engine results) first.

Paying for advertising can produce great results, but good search results last a lot longer (assuming you maintain any search optimisation you undertake), and you may find that a higher proportion of people coming from natural search will purchase (over PPC).

That said, I think Facebook might be a good one for you as their advertising system supports quite flexible filtering by demographic - and you have a clearly defined target audience. Beyond that, more conventional channels - Adwords (perhaps content network, targetting sites popular among your audience) and other social networking channels.

    Good luck!
