Website quotes needed

Hey Guys, Im looking for a website - needs to have 6 pages. No ecommerce as it wont be selling a product - just a service.

5 Pages will just have text and one contact page.

Would also like some pictures on the website and a nice colourful banner across the top.

Quotes welcome

Thank-you in advance

No - If you have nothing constructive to say please stay away from my threads. I dont expect to come on a serious business forum and have to recieve these negative comments on every thread i write. If you have constructive critism i am happy to hear it and will take suggestions on board but i will not have nasty remarks on every thread i start! I couldnt produce a website how i want it to be myself which is why i am asking for quotes.

It don't take much to play around with a wordP theme and have it do the job. Your content is more important. What you like in design will differ from what your users like. As long as it looks "ok" that is god enough in my experience.

You will be looking at around 500 - 700 for what you are looking for Gem.

I dont think i would need much content for my site. From the private messages i have recieved and comments on here i think i need to exmplain the point of the website.

Home page - Little picture of children playing happy and a little text
About Page - Text and a picture of me!
Meals Page - Look at food page www.future-einsteins.co.uk something like that
Health and safety page - Again text about health safety/ofsted
Fees - Table of fees for services provided
Gallery page - 6 pictures max needed on this page
Apply Now - This is a contact page going straight to my email

The point of the website is for a local childminder so i dont need the full content or SEO services just a google places advert really for my local area. I dont want this to be national or anything like that just a localised website - i will advertise on local mum websites and childcare info boards so dont need link building, SEO, content etc

Thanks

How is your little project coming along rob?

Actually wondering this too, what was the link to the tumblr?

Also Gem, I sent you a PM. I'm working on a solution for building small websites like these quickly and at a much better price than your usual developer would charge. If you don't mind testing it out I can build a site with it for the amount I mentioned in the PM, and further down the line you will get access to all of the other features I will be making available (Content management, plugin/modules, more expert services and advice). I guarantee you won't get a better deal at the price I'm offering!

PM me if you'd like to know more, and good luck!

Mr smarter (above) has been very helpful to me in the past (free knowledgable advice etc) so I can give him the thumbs up in that respect. Also google 'make us a website'- they offer a web design and hosting package (inc contact page) for £15/mnth- min 12mnth contract. I've not used them but the offer seems a good one.

Sorry, Should also have mentioned im almost qualified as a childminder and have 2 children of my own!

Davmet - You really should see my examples - they always look cheap, tacky and thrown together.

My budget for this website is £300 MAX - i know its a small budget but it is only a local website targetting a very small percentage of the online population.

Gemma, save yourself an absolute fortune and go to moonfruit.com, its really easy now to make your own site!, do some research, make sure you use key words and for a logo i found logomaker really good.
As i say though do some research, get keywords into your text on the pages too.Good luck.

Moon Fruit creates Flash sites though, awful for SEO.

There are other Site Builders that are SEO friendly :)

Gemma.

I will PM you shortly with some examples of what we have done that might be similar to yours. Costs would be well within your budget. My only apprehension is that any photos should be sourced from yourself and you assure us that you have full authority to use those photos you mention.
