Website Needed (maybe 2)

I have a need for my website to be designed.
I will want 1 now, with an ecommerce site in about 3 months.
I will want to give both projects to the same person/company
I had someone who had quoted me & was going to do my site, but he/she has dropped off the map.

Notes:
- I am based in N Ireland, providing computer-related services, etc
- I have a tightish budget, but don't require much in the immediate, preferring to 'bolt-on' options as and when deemed necessary
- I have had a mates website reviewed on here recently & was well impressed by the responses, so have decided it has to be a UKBF member.
- I have an MS Word document detailing what I require, so will email it to anyone who pm's me their email address.
- I HATE flash
- If you are talking in thousands I think you may well be out of my league, so dont waste your time :)
- I was going to go for an off-the-shelf package cos I liked the price, but have decided a little extra might go a long way.
- I will definitely be able to put more business your way once I get up and going.

Feel free to pm me with any questions, but email addresses or somewhere I can send the MS Word doc to would be best.

I will answer any questions via pm.

Thanks in advance
Mark

After a long process of evaluation, I have decided to go with Gary at Creospace. I narrowed my selection down from 12 initial proposals to 3, then scored them from there (a long selection process, but I have long-term plans which must be adhered to).

Thanks to all who responded, you are a very helpful and informative bunch :)

I must make reference to one of the other solutions offered too - Paul at Webapart drafted a template which looked professional & his price was very reasonable. It was a tight run thing, but my scoring chart has never let me down.

After much deliberation, I thought that Creospace offered the type of solution I was after for now and into the future.

Good luck to the rest of you in the future.
Oh, and thanks to UKBF - this is a damned useful forum.

Hi there, my partner has just started up in business and has a really nice portfolio that you are more than welcome to contact the owners of the sites for references.
if you PM me i can give you his details and it should not cost you any more than £600, he does however require specifications on what you want to give you a quote.
My site is currently under construction by him but you are more than welcome to look at the under construction page, very simple but to the point and still tells people what I do, a very good idea whilst you are starting up.

warm regards.

The scary thing is - at least 6 people have pm'd me quotes for this (although one did apologise as he answered in error).

Still glad I went to Gary though - nearly a year on and I still love it :)

Edit - MODS please close this thread for the sake of my sanity...

I have enough replies now thanks.

I am waiting on a couple of responses, then I will make my decision on friday coming (09/02/07)

Thanks
Mark

Dearest, the thread shall not close if it involves this lot !!!!

Simply remove the thread from your subscribe list or something. What you don't know cannot hurt too much.

They are a ruddy lot our fellow UKBF members, jolly, catlike and sometimes a bit funny.

:D
