I have had a good idea for a website which i feel pretty sure would do well but im not an it person

what would you do in my position would you forget it or pursue it
if you would pursue it how would you go about it to ensure you brought the right people on board etc

Create the website, use SEO to optimise and then run the website on a trial run, you would get a good idea based on the responses received.

If the website does work well then you can contact the bank/investors and start building your team or involving the best individuals.

Speak to a web developer, find out how plausible it is.

A good one will sign an NDA protecting your idea.

That is what im not sure about how feasible it would be to code it, it is the type of thing i would need to get a lot of people to sign up to before i went into too much website development and would need a bit of time before going live

I think it is a very good idea and something that is needed by many businesses and individuals but in saying that ive seen a lot of idiots on dragons den that thought they had a good idea as well

any recommendations for good web developers? preferably north west area, im just south of chester

also would you get a NDA before you even gave any details?

You are experiencing the truth behind successful businesses. It's not so much the idea but the implementation of the idea. It seems counter intuitive but, with one or two exceptions, ideas are the easy bit.

As a guide, hiring someone to code your idea will cost around £25-£35 per hour (£1400/week) for a freelancer and £50 - £100 per hour to hire a company. You could chomp through £20k in a heartbeat unless you can mash something from available tools - which is very often a great way of at least proving a concept.

If you're doing a business, the developing website is one of the best way of its promotion. Simply go for it.

As far as bringing the right people to it is possible only through the SEO.

1 thing of mine which i would like to add is that make an FB page and then promote it locally, nationally, internationally through paying just a petty amount of $50 .
