That depends on your requirements. If your website is suitable for a shared hosting plan the only reasons to go dedicated would be for reliability/control.

We pay around £22.00 per month to host our own websites (about 15 in all) with unlimited bandwidth (or as much as we've needed so far )...

...I don't think its a bad price and the control panel is much easier to use than many other I have come across.

If you are trying to decide which to go for then it will depend on your particular requirements?

A dedicated is far more secure than any shared account but you pay for this. Shared accounts are great if you don’t need a massive amount of BW etc and although not as secure as a dedicated is well used by many and would not be so if there was a big risk.

I use a dedicated for my personal use but it does depend on your budget and requirements.

Thats true dedicated server is much more better option than shared, But still things depend on factors like cost, requirement and do you really need dedicated ? because if you are starting new site ..shared and reseller hosting are the options to reduce your cost.
