Website help !!

Hi there, it's looking good. Would be really nice if it was an Ajax/Javascript system though, I built something similar a few weeks back
http://www.cleanerairsolutions.co.uk/calculator.html

The result should appear where it says "Calculate price"
http://discountbannerprinting.blueb...finish=30&unit=24&width=6&height=1&quantity=1

As it took me a while to realise it was appearing to the right of the grid and search.

If you ask your developer to rebuild in an Javascript/Ajax system, you could replace the "Calculate Price".

Hope it goes well :)

While I do understand your point of view (we could go on forever), do you think this would make a massive difference seeing as the only section that changes the price would be the finish.

I would like other peoples opinions on this also (Would you find the current system easy to use if the screen dropped down).

I could really use everyone's help .

Have to agree that the price is not obvious after submitting for a quote, I assumed I had to work it out myself when the main thing I saw was another calculator and a pricing grid.

May be sensible to adjust your pricing grid too, I ask for a quote based on metric measurements and whilst I got a price fine your grid is displaying in imperial measures.

Overall looks good though the header section looks a touch cluttered for my tastes with logo, free delivery advert, telephone number advert, login status, basket and payment methods.

I think you have fallen into the trap that we all do from time to time. It is very easy to ask for advice on something and explain away all of the negative feedback. You have now had a number of comments that in brief are saying "This is a little confusing, you need to improve it" and you are responding saying "I see your point, but I don't want to change it" which begs the question, why ask for advice in the first place?

I'm not having a go at you, like I said, I make this mistake a number of times each and every week and it usually takes someone else to point it out to me.

Embrace the feedback, it is a gift.

The problem is are people seeing it from the end point of view (As it will be finished), with the page dropping down.

Also I ask people if it was clearer (in a high contrast box of it's own) would they find it easier to see.

I am trying to think of the best way to change it as the structure of the choices needs to be the same.

All feedback on any part of the site is appreciated.

It took me a while to see what you are talking about, as when I landed on that page I skipped the big purple box and went straight to what I thought was the headline / start of content - this was the part that starts 'Why choose Discount Banner Printing?' The purple box area has the appearance of a banner ad, coupled with the advertising-type headline 'cheapest banner prices online'. If the purple box area is a price calculator, then why not label it as such? And put the actual calculator part of it at the top, with the supporting info below? Better still, why not use the layout format that appears on the second page, once a calculation has been performed? This is the orange and black box, with an image of a calculator, and a title saying 'Price Calculator'. No-one could get confused as to what that is, unlike on the original page.

The problem are people seeing it from the point of view (As it will be finished), with the page droping down.

Also I ask people if it was clearer (in a high contrast box of it's own) would they find it easier.

But people have given their answers and said no it will be better to just update on its own. When you get to the results page, and you see the grid instantly, you think you have been scammed in a weird way, that there is no calculation involved, it is just a link to a grid and you have to work it out yourself.

And I don't understand what "with the page dropping down" means, is there something i haven't seen?
