Website developer & design recommendations

I am so tired of trawling through the internet looking for a web developer and designer.

I need a new website. My current was done by the smarter web company.

While it’s done us for a few years ok, there are limitations which can’t be overcome by them adding or fixing things.

Such as limited options for shipping prices for different products and countries.

Basic options for discount codes ( can’t select certain products or prices to apply a code to )

No option to add buttons within the product section ( order a sample for example ) or having more options within that product.

I’d also need a function for customers to be able to change the currency so that US customers for example can see how much they would be paying for products.

The website would have roughly 100 products.

A search function would also be great.

Our current log in page is a disaster. Customers can’t choose their own password and it causes confusion. Same with the checkout page.

If anyone has a website with this type of functionality and can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate this.

I was recently set on a developer called go spider web design but have since learned the websites they were using as examples were not their own. (Since taken off the site) So I’ve now lost trust in looking online at companies sites as I don’t really know what I’m really looking at do I? Just a bit fed up. Please help

Good morning!

Those requests are all standard features really.

Is the current site a bespoke E-Commerce build or do you know what software it uses?

I'd be happy to have a look a at the site if you want to PM me the link or have a chat on the phone to go through some ideas with you (early start in office today!)

I'll repeat the advice I give to just about everybody. Make sure your site redesign is done based on a well thought out marketing strategy. You can't rely on a web designer or developer to give you any direction in this area.

What you are looking for sounds pretty straight forward. And a good developer should be able to get all this sorted on a really easy to use platform such as Shopify, even Woocommerce should be able to complete these tasks for you.

I would do some analysis of the data you have available to you before embarking on a final design too. Also, get a prototype and test it with unbiased users to see what they think of a design before you go and start developing it.
