Website critique

Oops - it's all gone a bit wrong on the frontpage! :?

Your meta tags are visable before your content and your text formatting (css?) has fallen out :(
The other pages (that I looked at) appeared ok, but looks like you are missing a tag or a > somewhere?

Templates aren't really the way to go for SEO - many have poor invalid coding - especially the online providers such as Easily (which is the one you are using).

That said I have taken a look and can point out the following:

- You have over 50 invalid coding markups on your site. The more valid your coding, the easier search engines can spider and index your site. Much of this invalid coding will be down to your online template provider so I'm not sure how much flexibility you will have here.

- Your inner pages all have a '?' in the address. Search engines do have difficulty with pages with 'special characters' in the address bar.

- You need to add ALT tags to your images. These are 'Alternative Text' descriptions for your images should the image fail, or browser not able to view your image. Plus it is a good way to build up your keywords (done in moderation).

- What keywords are you targeting for? From the site at the moment you are more optimised for ' Business Management Solutions' than any other phrase or keyword.

- After optimising your site you need to look at outside factors, e.g. how many are linking to your site. At the moment you have 8 backlinks in the eyes of Google. Keep requesting backlinks every day from good related websites.

Hope this helps,
Dean

Go to a website (any website) right click and then click your left mouse button on view source. Now you will see a series of <this> and </that> those are known as tags. Now meta tags are special tags that tell search engines what your website is about and contains. Search engines then use these meta tags (keywords, and description) and compare these to the content of your website to find out if your website holds relevant content.

Thats the basic outline of it anyway.

Hope it helps

ok - heres a report on your site compared to the top 10 in google for the keyword phrase professional translation.

Most of it looks ok - keep an eye out for the red boxes - they highlight a problem..

You can download it here by right clicking and selecting "save link as": www.matrixxhosting.com/downloads/protrans1.pdf

Hope this helps ;)

Hi -

My advice would be to have a static HTML site. The site is a php site and contains "?" in the urls which can cause problems with SEO.

Without lookin gbehind the scenes I am not sure if this is a truly dynamic site or not. If it is (database driven) then you are going to have problems promoting it through search engines.

I would go right back to basics and even if it is a case of paying someone to create you a bespoke HTML website, it would be worth it.

If you are able to use website building software then ask them to create you a template so that you can add pages to it yourself as and when you need to.

I would start out with some keyword research. I can send you an article I have written on the importance ofkeyword research if you would like it.

Using the information you get from your keyword research, you should then adjust your site accordingly and ensure each page has a dedicated title and description. At the moment they are all the same.

In a nutshell, start of gradually - start with the basics - or pay someone else to do it for you!

Good Luck!

Rob,

Wonderful report, I don't know what to say other than thank you so much!

I don't have that sort on analytical software to check my sites but even so I seem to have got 90% of it correct which is reassuring.

I would be interested in knowing how much you would usually charge for producing such a report, drop me a PM if you like.

Thanks again

JB
