Website critique for veterinary website

My wife is launching a website for her veterinary practice. This is their first venture into website land and they are looking for feedback to help make it look slick. The site still needs work and content uploading, but the look and feel is complete.

If anyone can offer any feedback that will help with improving the website you'll make some vets - and cows - very grateful.

The address is www.stock1st.co.uk

It looks very smart and provides information in a clear way.

It would be good to see a map of the area covered by the service because if there is any confusion on this the visitor may click away without finding out if it is of use.

My main beef is why ask people to become members? If it is free anyway it just seems annoying particulary when you are constantly told you aren't good enough to view certain pages. While this site is central to the site owner's business and world it is only a tiny part of the visitors' world so why make them go to the hassle of inventing and remembering a password? My family are farmers and frankly they don't have time to mess about, they just want to get the info and get back out working.

Instead ask them to sign up to a useful and informative newsletter.

Vets are generally viewed as expensive necessities so some indication of prices and payment schemes would be useful.

Site looks good and designed well. Agree with SillyJokes over membership. I do not think that case studies and knowledge about sheep could be that much of importance to people who simply looking for a vet.

Ask your designer to use style sheets for styling. It will improve site performance.
