I'm new to the forum. I've recently produced my own website displaying my paintings. I've submitted my sit to the open directory, google, yahoo and was wandering if you guys had any more tips about getting more traffic to my website.

Hello there forums is always good to get traffic to your website in the offers section and introduction tell everybody about your website but obviously don't over do it as forums do not like spam

Go on to forums based around your websites and tell them about you do and even make a you tube video about your website

Link building is always good I went from page 150 on Google to 2nd in a matter of days

The higher up you get on search engines the more traffic you will get

Google products is the best way to go forward somebody told me on here about this and you really do get a huge amount of traffic

Do some social Networking sites, such as youtube, myspace, facebook, directmatches, etc.

Also, find some forums and blogs that are focused on your industry or your clients industry.

Consider exchanging links with relevant sites.

Make sure you site is optimized.

Link to some higher PageRank sites.

Always analyze your site for backlinks, SERPs, Alexa Traffic and PageRank to track your successes.
