    You're a web host yourself, no? For a company that's supposedly been in business for over 10 years, its a little surprising you're only now having you find out who your market like. Most companies monitor this from day 1 and don't have to publicly ask.

    Do not go with snail or is that fast hosts they charge you over 50 pounds and tie you in to a contract I now use erb hosting by les sharma (I`m sure you can get his details off the internet). I am a web designer but do not use the former.

    Nethosted are a great UK hosting company, the customer service is spot on. Emails are replied too in under half hour, problems if you have any are fix straight away. I have tried a couple of larger hosting companies and my advice is to use a smaller company for better service.

    I have used UK2Net for a few years now. There customer service is just faultless and rediculously quick.. Also there the only hosting company to admit if they get something wrong, apologise and fix it.. Others i have been with deny everything, blame me but then the site magically fixes itself a while later..

    Some necessary things that needs to be taken into consideration are What is server's uptime, What is the server's speed ? What are the support features ? like 24/7, quality, Quick responce on chats/tickets, account backup facility, Type of customer service, Does the hosting price fits to my budget and the most whether the hosting company offers money back guarantee if customer is not satified.

    I think I may be missing something here.....
    Let me just get this right a chap who works at a web hosting company is asking which hosting company to use , and a technical support staff member asking questions regarding VPS and Shared Servers.

    I know one thing I will not be using Web Hosting UK for hosting if they aint got a clue and I defo wont be using Freezone for any technical support issues.

    Two companies only

    1. Innmotion Hosting- they have been cited as the best business hosting provider on many review sites and generally across the web. Their online reputation is immaculate compared to the other host providers mentioned in the last 2 pages.

    Due to the fact they are American, prices are affordable and they have EXCELLENT customer services. They have a live chat function- AND email response times of about 30 minutes (sometimes even less)- and no- I'm NOT exagerating. They are generally more friendly and go out of their way, unlike most British companies. Server up time is also terrific.

    2. Justhost- they too have a very good online reputation and fast email response system. They are based both in the UK and the US and are quite affordable. I came very close to choosing them as my web host provider because they are so good. Server up time is also terrific.

    I would recommend any small web hosting company with a good reputation. They tend to offer far better service over the big players. I'd avoid companies like UK2 and JustHost.

    Whilst US hosting can be cheaper, if you plan to host .co.uk domains you'll get better search engine performance if the server is UK based. For that reason, and having customer support during your daytime, I'd recommend a UK host.

    Incidentally, if someone asks for recommendations, it is acceptable to reply by mentioning your business. That is not spamming:

    there are plenty of web hosts right now. Better for for reviews so that you can have an idea what are the performance of some hosts based on the experiences of their clients. Try also to research for their features and prices at the same time
