Hi all,
I've a funny feeling that this has been asked before but i can't find it on any old threads so please forgive me as i ask this one!
I'm hoping to start an online business as an "extra income" venture rather than replace my full-time employment due to me needing some financial security over the coming 12 months as i have a very young family. My question is:- as i have a very limited budget, i've been looking at all the popular web-hosting companies out there such as Fasthosts, Webfusion, 1and1 etc as they seem to supply me with what i need initially, as in easy-to-use web-design,tools and templates etc but is it worth my while signing on the dotted line with any of them?
As i've been researching over the last few months, it's seems that these hosting companies are a bit of a minefield to say the least. Reviews ranging from 0 to 10 out of 10. I realise it's all down to personal experience with their service back-up etc but just as i'm about to sign up, i read yet another bad review putting me off yet again and my plans on hold!
I can't afford to commission a web-designer just yet until the business takes off so i'm wondering if anybody on this forum has had the same dilemma and which webhost or avenue have they pursued? The going £10+ per month seems a good bargain but i also realise that you get what you pay for. Can you also customise the templates enough to look unique to you own business?
My domain names are currently with Fasthosts but i'm looking at Heart Internet or 1and1 for the hosting etc. Any help in sorting out my apprehensions in going down this "bargain basement" route would be greatly appreciated!
