For one of our clients, we are interested in buying UK based companies with debt! Including Tax debt.
The companies should meet certain criteria: have up to 12 Million GBP annual turnover, have no more than Three shareholders (private individuals, or companies under their control), up to 60 staff, and at least Three years of proven financial history.
We deal only with the people registered as shareholders by Companies House! No agents, no representatives, no third parties.
If you have personal guarantees (ie. realestate), then we would be able to free them under certain circumstances. As such, you would walk away debt free ...

I love that. So if they're being professionally advised you don't want to deal with them?

My advice to anyone who's got a few million in turnover: Don't talk to any buyer or potential buyer (or eve respond to any offer!) till you've got an expert on your side. Selling a business is a lot more complicated than you think and there are a million ways in which you can get screwed.
