Warehousing and distribution

Hi

Does anyone have any pointers on starting a warehouse and distribution business?

How do you get contracts?

Is it a viable startup?

What are the running costs E.G warehouse van/lorry forklift?

It needs massive investment to start from scratch and it really needs someone with knowledge and experience if that sort of money is on the line .
My new years Revolution ! Was to be nice on here but it stops me from being honest. So being nice cant go on
You have already made me decided that you should stay well away from it . The one question How do I get contracts ? If you don't already know or do this in another business or industry then you wont stand a chance .
A start up like this would fail if it is a learn on the job plan
I do this on a small scale and its only work that comes along from years of contacts but I already have system and storage in place so it does not cost me any more money

I have many years warehousing experience and many friends in the trade the issue is simply getting off the ground. like you it would be on a small scale.
