Want to start small business.

Hello smart people may you give me advice, please. I want to start a small business. I want to employ few persons. The office going to be my house(if it's legal, if not i'm going to rent a place). Which business structure I should choose? Are partnerships allowed to employ people?

In using your house you would likely need to check your tenancy agreement if you rent. If not then you may need to advise your mortgage provider if there is a mortgage on the property.

As for company structure, you would be better posting in the "Legal" section of the forum, and take a look also at the Business Link page "Choosing and setting up a legal structure". You can find this via Google (I can't post links yet due to <15 posts)

The business structure actually comes after planning what your product or service would be. It is hard how it would look like or how it is established if you do not know yet what to do. If it is your own space, you might have to renovate a room so that there will be a physical office aside from a simple desk and chair in the corner of your room. An office needs a registered address and you need that in order to register. You can't just write a specific room in my house as the address.

It's going to be decorating business. I'm gonna employ few professionals from foreign country. Yesterday after posting this thread I was looking for an answer on the internet. My search was successful. Now I know that I'm gonna register myself as self-employed(solo trader), this is the easiest way to start. Probably I won't need an office at all Thank you guys, anyway.

I think importing from China is not like people always saying with bad quality, it all depends how u tailor the products and what how u work with ur chinese partners

But anyway, anything can import from there..hehe

Without knowing what you are planning to do, who is going to be involved (partners etc) and where/who you will be dealing with it is difficult to offer any advice. Any legal structure can employ people.

Please provide some more info so I can advise further

For your questions which business shoul you choose?
In my opinion, it is based on your interest and what products you know very well , when you choose them with considering them, i think your business will go more fluently.
Am i right?

What kind of business you chose? How about SOHO? Hire a few people online, pay them according to their jobs, no need to rent a house for those small business.
