Vmware Private Cluster

We currently run 2 Vmware Private Clusters in the UK and looking at OVH.co.uk for one in France.

So i guess I'm looking for some reviews on OVH

Network Uptime
Support
and quality of hardware provided.

As if often the case, you get what you pay for. With OVH being price aggressive, this is sometimes less and rarely more than what you need.

If you know what you are doing (don't really need support beyond fixing broken hardware or network events / everything outside your control) and plan for it to fail more or longer than you might otherwise, then hard to beat, otherwise think twice.

NB. I have not used OVH for some years and then it was for a throw away test, they have grown significantly, things can change, but still the general feedback I hear from peers/ex-customers.

PipeTen-Carl is absolutely right. I have been a customer of OVH for several years. They have been perfect for my needs. You are paying for a service with very very basic levels of support (assume none...) but in terms of quality and spec of hardware it's very hard to beat.

The vast number of negative reviews are generally due to customer support issues. If you use their website carefully and know how to use the product you're purchasing then you'll be absolutely fine.

Support 3/10 (the 3 because, on average, they fix hardware/network issues very quickly, but beyond that... nada)

The comment above matches our opinion. We often get asked to recommend someone and often it's OVH. Hardware quality and price are 10/10 in my opinion. Network is also good. Support is basic but they monitor everything and respond well.

We have decided to stay with Iomart and add another cluster in Nottingham costs alot more but we cant fault the service at DC5.

I had a bad experience too with OVH providers.. , I have wasted two months with them!
