Virtual office for deliveries

OK, so i'm in the process of getting my business together and I've decided to go for a virtual office address for the following reasons:

#1 Protect home address when business finally goes online
#2 Receive deliveries (Primary reason) - I produce my own products so i buy my raw materials from suppliers across the UK. I'm not always in all day, and i need someone to collect my deliveries for me.

Does anyone know of any companies, around London (SW, preferably), that charge reasonable rates for a simple P O Box address?

Not in London but the one I've used in Bristol charge £200-£300 per year for *exactly* that service and in all honesty, it's a bargain for all the hassle it saves.

Thanks, but it needs to be based in London for me to pick up delivery of raw materials :)

If you're a ltd company your details will become public info through companies house.

Yeh, I'm aware of that but i'm actually a sole trader at the moment. Even if i was a ltd company, would this give people the permission to contact me via my personal address instead of the mail box address i have as my contact information on all forms of advertisement? (That's a serious question, by the way)

I believe the registered address for the company could be your virtual address but the director's addresses should be real, physical, residential addresses. These are both publically available on a multitude of websites. Privacy is entirely forgotten!

You can get a Director's Service Address which is not publicly visible at Companies House, even if you buy the database. You have to give your actual Residential Address when forming a company but the Director's Service Address is the one where directors will be contactable by those who buy the database.

I think the OP will be luck to find someone who will accept and store raw materials, if they're bulky. We just forward letters and small packets. Collection in person often means 'not collected at all for months' :)

After five phone calls to various companies, I realized trying to find an office that would store raw materials for 48 hours would be hard. I have indeed found a place but it's only for 24 hr. I'll just have to see how it works out.
