viral video ad and using UK high street store logos

Hi I am planning on getting a viral video created for a marketing campaign for my website. I want to use UK high street store logos. About 20 or so logos. Is there a legal issue with using these logos if I am running an affiliate marketing website?

I am sure you need their permission, usually through a licence, to use any logo or trade mark.
You can end up in hot water otherwise.

If you are running an affiliate site, they no doubt provide you with either a banner or an outline of what is allowed.

If you apply the trade mark in an unauthorised way you are likely to end up as an ex-affiliate very quickly.

You would have to get their written appraval just in case something gies horribly wrong and they try hold you liable....

Yes it is. You are selling their product - or trying to.

It's good form, if you are concerned, to drop an email to the program manager of the affiliate scheme you are promoting.

BTW: get the video up and running first - some affiliate managers have very unhealthy relationships with other affiliates. Enough said
