VERY cheap hosting

I've started building up a collection of unused domain names. Is there a way of getting cheap hosting for each of them. I would only want one page, maybe with a contact form on and some advertisement.

I was interested there for a minute until I read you dont do any backups at all and the customer has to do that. I guess you get what you pay for to be fair. Otherwose thats a good price for everything else on unlimited too.

Just to clarify I have nothing to do with that web host apart from having an account with them. I don't own them. Also it is sufficient for the OP.

You dont need to back up a bunch of 1 page websites so for that price for that purpose its a good choice. I was saying I myself would have been interested had they done the daily backups but if they did they would probably charge more for doing it.

You could probably contact them and ask them about backups. Their service is fantastic and emails replied to within minutes usually at all hours.

They arent the cheapest but they are by no mean expensive. You get what you pay for ateotd .

Where does this no back-up come from with 'unlimited'. The way I read their blurb is that they have hot swap raid servers and as well as the main data centre at Reynolds House they say data is replicated at another independant data centre.

That is belt & braces back-up isn't it or am I missing something.

Something for all you guys to consider when choosing a hosting company. Under the Data Protection Act is can be an offence to hold clients data on a server outside the EEC. I say can because I have only just come across this and am checking out the details.

If anyone knows the exact position I for one would be grateful for the info.
