Verifying GB VAT Numbers?

Does anyone know how we can now verify UK GB VAT numbers?

We used to go here: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/ but now it just says All traders seeking to validate UK (GB) VAT numbers may address their request to the UK Tax Administration.

Is there an online tool? Or is this another benefit of Brexit, where we can no longer verify details in our own country?
