Could someone confirm VAT payment dates for me, i pay via direct debit and I was under the assumption that payments all came out on the 10th, however on my last return (i think it was the last one) the payment came out around the 13th.
I was told by the person who does my vat it's something like the 3rd working day after the 10th which does not include saturday and sunday. I can't get hold of them until monday and I am wondering wether to place this order with my supplier or not, we re expanding you see and each order has been bigger but if i place this order we are able to accept another order from a customer which will effectively pay for the vat, but I am just wondering actually what date this will come out to determine payment method. We do have a business overdraft but i would rather not use this if possible. if the vat comes out on the 10th we know what date we would require payment from the customer in order to have all of our vat liability covered which is about 8k.
