Van signage

So far on Google I have found companies offering just actual sign design and print, but I`m interested in somebody designing, printing and actually applying signs on van. Any ideas how much signage +labour will cost for this small van? Any members here on forum do this?

Depends on how much vinyl is used and quality grade.

We were quoted about £300 for Peugot partner with about 50% coverage. Most companies don't charge extra for the design in my experience. We are locally using www.snazzysigns.com . Beware though there are plenty of operators who don't have a clue about good design.
We used signsexpress before and we had to explain to them what an A-board was.

Check out local coach companies & who does their signage.

You would be better off in my opinion

1) obtaining the corporate branding of your company i.e. logo etc if you have not got.
2) When you have that any livery supplier usually will put that on and offer a couple of options on how it would look in PDF i.e. it is sized to the van
3) you can then order the livery plastic
4) you can have fitted

If you have the logo etc done then could issue some options no problem if stuck as we have a lot done

I supplied logo, apart from that they designed, printed and applied.

Looks good or at least I think so!

I'm not sure how far they venture out but i would definately recommend them.

I went with magnetic signs in the end as a temporary solution. Still need the van to be done properly. Can you PM me please? Thanks

There are good companies out there that sell cutting plotters to make your own signs for sometimes less than one vehicle would cost to be made up from a sign company, search on 'Redsail' cutters or 'Foison' cutters etc.

Typical signage cost for the signage materials for small a small van after purchase cost of the cutter is around £15.00!

One could almost buy the cutter, do up a van and then use it to hang up your washing!! but with sign cutting not being my core business ... does anybody want to help me out with a partial wrap for my van?

This is not about knowing what's required to run a business. Its about trying to recover your whole investment from each of your customer! If its not a rip off then what is it?

So you think a sign company is recovering it's whole investment from a single job?

Staggering! You truly have no idea.

Wrap vinyl is not easy to fit if you've not done it before... I wouldn't suggest buying from one person and have fitting by another, get the same people to print & fit, most local signmakers will do this for you... Regarding the design, you have two options - you can have it designed by a graphic designer or by the same company who print & fit.. remember you get what you pay for, many cheap vinyls are on the market these days, make sure its a 10yr vinyl with wrap lamination.. but I would expect to pay £300+ for a good quality job.

A full vehicle wrap is usually VERY expensive. It takes a lot of digital printing and requires several highly trained people taking a long time to put it on.

The cheapest way to go would be either to have your livery designed and produced for you then you put it on yourself or just use magnetic signs - cheap, easy to put on and removable. You can have a look at my website if you want some prices on the last two options - www signs4vans co uk

It depends on the artwork. Either vinyl and painting can do the job. But cost for them is quite different.
