Using JShop for a shopping cart

I'm a freelance website designer in Gateshead, and have just completed my first ecommerce project (Masonic Jewellery).

The site is using the PayPal shopping cart as the client is unsure of the intial turnover of the site and was a little wary of paying a monthly fee for merchant services.

My next project is something on a larger scale, the client sells home furnishings and has several hundred items to list online.

I have been advised that JShop is an excellent ecommerce package for customising to match your site layout. I've tried Zen Cart and OScommerce but find them way to clunky to be able to customise to any degree.

Has anyone had any experience with JShop? Any advice greatley appreciated.

Yes i have it uses a .tpl file template system similar to cubecart it is a nice piece of kit jshop but i find it a little pricey, but i am biased because i am a lover of cubecart ver 3.xx i can design a skin in photoshop and the like and apply it to cubecart in a day maybe 3 for a really complicated design. There are loads of people writing mods for cubecart at really resonable prices, pennies really. Take a look www.cubecart.com if you need any advice mail or pm me. I've signed up for one of my UK clients at the moment with no problems, we are just implementing the products and designing at the moment.
