Using Fiverr.com

Hey guys

I have just used fiverr.com for the first time. If you have never heard of it, it is where you can purchase a whole load of services and some products, all for $5.

I have just purchased a website header, complete with logo for $5! The work was done in less than 24 hours and it is really good quality.

Loads of people in business that I know have used this site before and always give great reviews about it. For $5 for anything it is worth a punt and I am quite surprised just how good the quality of some stuff is.

Has anyone else used it?

I have used Fiverr on quite a few occasions and found that you need to 'invest' before finding the best quality. For example I needed a content writer to write articles and the first few i tried were bad quality. Now I have someone who i am really happy with. I think it's worth spending a little to find great quality for just a fiverr.

best of luck!

I write content on fiverr.com. I have become surprisingly popular drawing in around $3000 in a few months. It has led to many jobs outside of fiverr where I am pulling in around $30-$40 per content piece (1000 words). So yeah, it has provided a good source of income!

and if I do so say so myself, my writing is brilliant :D (actually it might not be)

This is my page if anyone cares ;)

Can be a good place to network if your careful, I've bought a few gigs but also cancelled some because the seller didn't respond quick enough.

I also recently setup as a seller offering guest posting on my blogs. I don't expect to make much money direct from Fiverr but someone already bought 3 and agreed to another 50.

I was actually going to ask on here what other jobs people might like to see offered for $5 - not not world peace !

I don't think I am allowed to post links in here, but go to my website and take a look at the banner. It is really simple, but it is what I wanted. Nice little logo, nice font for the title.

I have already ordered another web banner for another website called "Interesting Talks" so I will see how that comes out too.

The user I used was called "meganfollow247" I think she is an American girl. I put the order in, sent her what I wanted and link to my site. Then 20 hours later I had 2 version of the web banner in 3 different formats!

Nice work. How does it compare to other freelance sources considering you're only getting $4 per article.

I have tried to contact this person but can't seem to get fivrr working? I register search meganfollow247 and hit contact - it then asks me to sign in (again) and then doesn't recognise my id, so I re-register and it starts again.....!

Grrrrrrrrrr!

I have tried in IE and firefox....

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I haven't really had to touch any other freelance sources at the moment. Many of my clients through Fiverr are repeat, but they are ending up order 'extras' which means that I am ending up with $12 rather than $4. Which I can deal with.

I see Fiverr as a way of gaining clients away from Fiverr, I have 5 or 6 people regularly placing orders that have discovered me away from fiverr and want to pay a little more. I am getting around £200-£300 a week just from these clients (all for about 20 hours work). I am at the point where I don't really need fiverr and can walk away (which I will do at the start of July)

I have tried to order via fiverr.com but it won't let me - I register for an account, find what I want, click order, then it asks me to sign in again... I do....then it goes back to the home page......Grrrr!

Has anyone else been able to order via fiverr in the last couple of days or has anyone experienced this problem before?

Fiverr is a really great tool for almost anything and has just found investment to further the company so it is only going to grow. I have actually had better gigs from people that have little feedback and I'm guessing this is because the seller is keen to get good feedback so if you try a gig and your not 100% happy then maybe try a gig that is less popular - Worked for me!

I

I Love Spreadsheets

Had some cracking voice overs for some funny video podcasts we are planning on.

There is guy on there that does all the movie trailer voices who is worth 20 times what he is charging. Really professional, we only wanted about 10 individual sentences recording so he did each of them about dozen times in different styles so we could pick the ones we liked the most

Hi

I am currently starting a podcast and I would love to know who it is you used for your voice over. Please can you PM me?

Hey guys. Just used fiverr again to have a great web header made. I am starting a podcast with a friend, and we are calling it Interesting Podcast. I won't put the link, but it is just dot com. Check out what you think of the new banner. We actually paid $10 for this as it was a double job. Amazing work once again!

Ive used http://www.fivesquids.co.uk for a few bits personally and professionally, similar to fiverr but UK based - handy for one-off jobs that you need quickly - quality is variable, i tend to only select gigs with good reviews to save the hassle.

I think I'll have replicate my gigs on there, it's only holiday cash I know but I much rather have UKP rates.

OK - there ARE a couple of decent fiverr clones out there, but the majority are simply trying to do what the original fiverr did and appeal to the masses.
The ones that will rise to the top are sites such as SEOclerks (dotcom) and Jacks Alive (dotcom) which have niched down their audience (SEO & Students respectively) and have become big fish in a small pond.

By all means, be inspired, but put a twist on it if you want to succeed. Just my 2 cents :)
