Hello,

I recently set up as a Ltd and I have got a invoice from The European Register of Trade Names and Companies(ERTNAC) saying I owe them £390.00 due to them publishing my name. I have never registerd for this service or authorised anyone to. What do I do? They wan't a payment by the 7th of January and I am 17 years old with £20.00 to start my business off. What do I do?

Here is their website: w . w. w. e r n t n a c . c o m

I notice no phone number as well.

Thanks!

Okay. I sent them a strongly worded e-mail threatining legal action if they persist with it as I have not authorised it.

Bad idea, it just verifies someone at your email address reads this stuff, so it gets added to even more scammer lists. Don't waste your time on this nonsense, its a scam, just delete it.

Shows it's not even registered. :)

http://ertnac.com/ However, is registered, I assume a typo? Still a scam site, same applies.

As a 17 year old likely starting out with your first business I would not expect you to be aware of the large amount of fraudsters out there on the interwebs.

Simply put, never react to unsolicited requests via email or phone, if someone asks for personal or financial details, or as in this case makes claims for things you have no idea about then 99.999% of the time it is a scam you should treat it as such and ignore it. No point in responding and no point in getting concerned about it.
