UKBF ‘Stories’. Why?

It’s one thing closing active threads where those who wish to take part are prevented from doing so.

But what possible value do these UKBF ‘stories’ bring?

Are they just a sounding board for students or what? Hardly any engagement there, and any replies they do get tend to be spammy nothingness.

Why not just bin them whilst having a tidy up.

I agree, the stories will be looked at once my guys have access to the code these forums run on - along with a substantial structural change.

As for the Covid thread; my view on Covid discussions
was made clear here. I let that one run a while in the hope it could be a sensible business discussion, but like many of the other Covid threads it started to degenerate into a "I'm right", " No, I'm right", "No... I'm right" and that isn't constructive business discussion.

When the same argument is being repeated, over, and over; Ad Nauseam; I don't have aspirations for this place to be another Facebook or Twitter.

On the whole I am glad you are closing them. Covid threads do not stay on topic.

I've actually just looked through some of the stuff on there, and I'm saying it now ... if these forums head that way, and we end up having to create a whole page dedicated to acronyms on here please someone relieve me of my position in UKBF . (dear lord I hope this post ages well)

An old boss of mine bought Who Moved My Cheese back in the 90's for all his senior managers, of which I was one. A few grumbled what rubbish is this but personally I got it and liked its way of putting the point across in the analogies (maybe as I like analogies). I've not read the One Minute Manager though, let me know if you think it's worth a read.

The biggest problem with the stories is the fact that the usual suspects don't contribute
If they did they would be informative helpful and colourful

Forums survive on threads and posts. You've not started a thread since May 2020 and in 6 years have made an average of 1.5 posts per week. Just saying
