We are a company based in Ireland and are currently looking into the prospect of setting up in the UK.

If we set up a limited company in the UK, how do we go about obtaining a bank account for the company? The company set up sites we have looked at say that you have to be UK resident to open a bank account. All the directors are resident in Ireland.

Any help or guidance appreciated.

I appreciate that they are part of the problem with Ire but at least they managed to keep control of operations when the ship went down...anyway just my opinion. Been with them for years!

Thanks for the reply Lolleo. Wouldn't touch AIB with a barge pole.. They are an awful bank to deal with.. I know most of the banks are pretty much the same..

You can try Ulster Bank in NI. They can open a bank account for ROI residents. (at list it was like that 3-4 years ago).
