I currently have just over 10.1K followers on google and following on from a marketing question asked by Katie Price, I too have a question.
When I joined Twitter, my company has too many characters for the heading, so instead of Nina's Nannies for Pets, I had to put Nina's Nannies 4 Pets and my twitter handle is Petnanny1.
I also cannot fit my logo onto my twitter pic, so instead I have a pic of myself and my dog.
Does this mean that my tweets are not as effective as having my logo and full company name?

It's not ideal from a brand continuity perspective but I think it's okay. Sometimes you need to compromise a bit with social media usernames.

With regards to the profile picture it's difficult to say but your logo 'might' be better to create intrigue. You could create an alternative logo in the same style that fits in a square image. We created a square version of our logo for our Twitter and Facebook pages.

It depends on what you want to achieve with Twitter. Currently the account comes across as a personal one, but if you wanted to build the brand then maybe a change is needed.

As @JamieM says, you could always border the logo with some white space so it fits the square format of Twitter.

Not having your full business name is fine as a handle, I think it's better to have something memorable sos that people can easily get in touch so I wouldn't worry about that.
