Trying out Fulfilment by Amazon

I'm thinking of testing the water and was wondering if anyone else had got anywhere with FBA? I'm particularly interested in whether access to all those Prime customers makes a difference - we already offer free shipping and when we introduced this, we saw a leap in sales that was similar to the claimed leap FBA gives.

We've a B&M shop, so we need to keep a fair bit of stock on hand, but there are certain things that only sell online and these may be worth sending off to FBA. All our wrapping and postage is currently in house and FBA currently wouldn't save us much on this.

Not used it myself, but I get calls every few months from them trying to sell me the services. I just can't see how it would save me any money, it looks too expensive for me, but maybe that because I'm selling larger items.
