Trolleys for transporting goods to market

Hello

I run a market stall selling homemade chocolate truffles and fudge and am having issues getting to the market. There is no parking as it's in London and they somehow expect traders to make do with finding the odd spare space on streets that aren't even that close. I run the stall on my own so don't have anyone else to drop me off and have so far been using taxis which is not cost effective!

I think I can get carry all my gear and walk if I use a large rucksack and a trolley. But I'm having trouble finding the sort of trolley I've seen people using. I've seen things like the Toolzone Extra Large Folding Storage Cart Trolley (not allowed to post link) but I need something with stacking boxes. Do people normally have to buy the crates and trolley separately? I need something that will stay well secured as I'll be walking it about a mile.

cheers
Jane

depending on how smooth the surface is you could try a Dutch plant trolley? They break down into a base, 4 uprights and however many shelves you need. You can space the shelves however you like too. They have pretty hard wearing wheels though I'm sure anyone handy could attach some softer wheels to it. Here's one....

You can also get barrows that have the uprights attached so you can just put the shelves where you like but it's going to take up more room (depending on what vehicle you're in)

Are you just moving your produce and banner etc, or are you moving a gazebo thingy as well? If only produce something like this, an ordinary but well made trolley would be ideal. Large wheels to deal with uneven surfaces, bungee cords to secure the boxes.
Large plastic, stackable storage boxes are extra.
I highly recommend spending on a decent trolley and boxes. If you go to the market weekly or monthly the usage will take its toll, even more so if you start going to other markets too. Buy cheap, buy twice.
(I have a great trolley which cost £160 20 years ago. Still absolutely perfect.)

Pushing a catering (Danish) trolley, loaded with chocolates and market stall materials, for a mile through London streets and up and down pavement edges, bumps and cracks?
Should be fun.

Danish trolleys are the type that nurseries deliver plants into garden centres - not catering trolley.

They are very heavy duty ideal for pushing on graveled surfaces, uneven loading bays at garden centre etc. without small plants jumping out of their trays.

The OP would have to fashion some form of crate for the chocolates.
