Transferring domain name

I used caught.co.uk to snap up a domain name iconsume.co.uk to use for my next website.

How do you transfer it over, i have been emailing them without success, its registered through them under my name.

You need to use another register to start the transfer process which includes changing the IPS Tag and the nameservers

lets say you use 123 reg,

Obviously you need to have an acount and be logged in,

type the domain you own into the search bar and you domin will appear with all the other extensions in a long list, you then will see that your own domain is take, it will say do you own this and want to transfer to 123 reg, add it to basket and follow the instructions, 123 will do the rest.

That isn't quite right is it? It is the current domain name regstrar who must change the tag first. So in the 123-REG example, you ask the current registrar to change the IPS Tag to 123-REG and then you sign on and ask 123-REG to do the rest as you say.

Correct. For .uk domains, your current registrar usually updates the IPS tag to reflect the new domain registrar's IPS tag. The new registrar then takes automatic custody of the domain, and then it's up to the new domain registrar to associate the domain with your own account with them.
